This article is all about the 2nd ODI series which was played between Bangladesh and New Zealand on the 20th of December 2023 at Saxton Oval within the Nelson region of New Zealand which was a record-breaking match.
The record was broken by the 30-year-old Bangladesh opener Soumya Sarkar who broke Master Blaster’s 14-year-old record of scoring the highest individual score in a match against New Zealand.

However, effective was the inning of the player Soumya Sarkar , Bangladesh managed to give a target of 292 off 50 balls.
In which New Zealand players Henry Nicholls, Will Young,and Rachin Ravindra were the top scorers with their score of 95 (99) ; 89(94), and; 45(33) respectively, helping New Zealand to chase it’s target very easily and winning the match by 7 wickets thereby registering their 2-0 lead in the match.
